OtoTrak was built for the jet ski rental industry, but is also a professional solution for anyone looking to track and control watercraft remotely, from yacht owners managing PWCs on board to individuals who want tracking along with engine or movement alerts at night.
The OtoTrak system has three parts:
- OtoTrak Module — hardware module that plugs into your jet skis. It connects to OtoTrak cloud services over a cellular network to allow the watercraft to be controlled remotely.
- OtoTrak Cloud Services — software system for automatic control, reporting and archiving that supervises connected modules.
- OtoTrak Control — smartphone app that you use to view your tracked watercraft and control them.
The OtoTrak module interfaces with each PWC through specially designed electronics and software that is the product of years of research and development in making PWC safer for everyone. The cloud services handle automatic supervision and remote commands, and the OtoTrak Control app is where you manage it all from.

OtoTrak supports all major personal watercraft (PWC) brands, including BRP Sea-Doo, Yamaha WaveRunner, and Kawasaki Jet Ski. Our system is fully compatible with the latest jet ski models from these manufacturers.

OtoTrak supports Sea-Doo Switch pontoons with full speed limit control and also offers a dedicated boat tracker, that automatically slows down connected jet skis when they approach the boat.
Only simple tracking is supported for boats themselves.
OtoTrak modules are installed simply by connecting them to your personal watercraft. OtoTrak plugs into original connectors inside the watercraft and no cutting of cables or other permanent modification is required.
Modules can be fitted by anyone — no special tool or technical knowledge is needed. We have easy installation guides that you can follow to connect the module correctly and quickly.

All plans are monthly with no long-term commitment. Activate OtoTrak only when you need it, and pay nothing while it’s inactive.
No, using OtoTrak cannot damage the watercraft.
OtoTrak does not affect engine parameters (air-fuel ratio) and so cannot cause failure of mechanical engine components (pistons, valves) or electrical components such as the ECU or throttle sensors.
If the OtoTrak module disconnects from the cellular network, it will disconnect from the OtoTrak cloud services.
The module’s live position will be unavailable in the mobile app, and it will not be possible to send remote commands. The module will search for a cellular signal and reconnect to the cloud as soon as one is available.
The OtoTrak module will automatically switch to offline mode, setting preconfigured limits. Geofencing will continue to function.
No, you do not need to install your own SIM card. OtoTrak modules already contain a SIM card that provides connectivity globally, so you can start tracking your jet ski or boat immediately without any additional setup.
Data costs are included in your OtoTrak subscription and are not billed separately.
Yes, PWCs will automatically slow down when they get too close to each other. Each operator can customize the safety distances based on their own needs.
OtoTrak does not prevent watercraft collision. However, OtoTrak’s advanced Intelligent Distance Control (IDC) algorithms track the positions, speeds and bearings of all watercraft and automatically impose speed limits on watercraft that violate certain safety criteria. This reduction in speed provides feedback for riders that lets them know they are too close to another tracked watercraft and promotes safer driving.
Intelligent Distance Control (IDC) works by tracking the positions, speeds and bearings of the watercraft on your location. If a tracked unit is too close or going too fast near another, the system will slow the unit down automatically.
When one jet ski approaches another from behind, IDC automatically slows down only the approaching jet ski. The jet ski in front retains full power, allowing the rider to continue normally.
IDC can be configured through a few options per location, so it works equally well for large, spacious rentals and narrow straits or marinas.
OtoTrak is warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for 2 years from the date of purchase. Within this period, OtoTrak will, at its sole option, repair or replace any components that fail in normal use. Such repairs or replacement will be made at no charge to the customer for parts or labor, provided the customer shall be responsible for any transportation cost.
This warranty does not apply to:
- cosmetic damage, such as scratches, nicks and dents;
- consumable parts, such as batteries, unless product damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship;
- damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, water, flood, fire, or other acts of nature or external causes;
- damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not an authorized service provider of OtoTrak;
- damage to a product that has been modified or altered without the written permission of OtoTrak; or
- damage to a product that has been connected to power and/or data cables that are not supplied by OtoTrak.
In addition, OtoTrak reserves the right to refuse warranty claims against products or services that are obtained and/or used in contravention of the laws of any country. Repairs have a 90 day warranty. If the unit sent in is still under its original warranty, then the new warranty is 90 days or to the end of the original 2 year warranty, depending upon which is longer.
The purchaser is solely responsible for the safe operation of the watercraft used in connection with OtoTrak, and for maintaining proper system control settings. UNSAFE DRIVING OR SYSTEM CONTROL SETTINGS CAN RESULT IN PROPERTY DAMAGE, INJURY, OR DEATH. The purchaser is solely responsible for his/her safety and for the safety of others. THE PURCHASER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THE PRODUCT IS PROPERLY AND CORRECTLY INSTALLED, CONFIGURED, INTERFACED, MAINTAINED, STORED, AND OPERATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH OTOTRAK’S RELEVANT USER’S MANUAL AND SPECIFICATIONS. OtoTrak does not warrant or guarantee the positioning and navigation precision or accuracy obtained when using OtoTrak.
We ship our product from our headquarters in Europe or Dubai. Import taxes depend on the laws and regulations of the destination country. Each country has its own rules regarding customs duties and VAT, so any additional charges will be determined by local authorities during the import process.
